Department Profile

The department of economics of Shri R. K. Patil Arts, Commerce & Science College was established in the year 2020 Graduation level Classes are being conducted in Economics Department. The Department has specialization in Microeconomics, Macro Economics, Monetary Economics and Finance, International Economics, Economics of Development and Planning, Research Methodology and Indian Economy. However to keep pace with present day Demand in teams of development in teaching method and in quality education the department is endeavoring its best to keep on upgrading infrastructural facilities and academic program. 

AIM

The Department of Economics endeavors to deliver new knowledge & produce students who are trained in Economics.

OBJECTIVES

• Develop the ability to explain core economic terms, concepts, and theories and apply them to contemporary soci0-economic issues as well as formulation and analysis of policy.
• Demonstrate the ability to employ the “economic way of thinking.”
• Demonstrate awareness of global, historical, and institutional forces that affects soci0-economic situations
• Demonstrate the ability to collect, process and interpret data, including statistical inference
• Be able to use critical thinking skills within the discipline of economics about economic matters.
